Arts and Crafts Club
The Arts and Crafts Club promotes imagination, innovation and creativity through fun, thought-provoking and educational activities. Students explore themes such as culture, science, and math while practicing different art techniques and refining their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Activities are available for students of all levels of interest and ability and no prior art experience is necessary to join this club.Cooking Club
The Cooking Club provides opportunities for students to explore their creativity in the kitchen. Students learn cooking skills, proper nutrition and meal planning strategies through fun, collaborative activities. Students are taught food preparation skills and are encouraged to try new healthy foods and foods from other cultures.Fandom Debate Club
The Fandom Debate Club fosters skills such as public speaking, comprehension, initiative and leadership through formal discussion about a favorite person, team, musical genre or fictional series. Students plan their agenda and complete their own lectures and presentations while testing out their debate skills in a stress-free and fun environment. Fandom Debate Club allows students to socialize and build relationships with those who share in their interests.Fitness Club
The Fitness Club is designed to support the health and wellness of our students by focusing on movement. Students develop fitness skills like kicking, catching and throwing, as well as foundational fitness principles like strength, endurance and coordination. Each session features fun activities and games suitable for all students while teaching teamwork and sportsmanship.Gaming Club
The Gaming Club uses video games to strengthen a range of cognitive skills such as spatial navigation, reasoning, memory and perception. As one of our newest clubs, it is also one of the most popular. Students practice coordination and strategy as they develop ways to outwit opponents. Club members review a variety of games, consoles and controllers, including older and newer gaming technology.Fun with Sensory Integration Club
Students are exposed to sensory stimulation in a fun yet structured way during eight weeks of creative individual and group activities. Club members learn to become more aware of themselves and the world around them as they explore all five senses. Activities include playing with a variety of smells, colors and lights as well as textures like foam, slime, water and food.Social Skills Club
Through this eight-week club, students gain social understanding and improve their social skills. Students participate in activities promoting successful peer relationships and self-monitoring and self-regulation skills, adaptive and cooperative behaviors, and a variety of other techniques to gain social understanding and improve social skills. Teachers help students explore important topics like problem solving, making and maintaining friendships, practicing good sportsmanship and building self-esteem.Wood Workers Club
This club provides young woodworkers the opportunity to practice math, problem-solving, cooperation and craftsmanship through fun, hands-on experiences. Young woodworkers will assemble as many as five projects using simple tools and techniques. Teachers emphasize safety, skill and competence while focusing on the personal satisfaction students experience from making and completing projects. To ensure direct supervision is provided for each student during activities, enrollment is limited to 10 students in grades 6-12.
